Office of the Provost - Hiring Process for Adjunct Faculty

Adjunct faculty are hired on a semester basis depending upon the instructional needs identified for each semester and are paid according to the Adjunct/Overload Faculty Payscale. Each chairperson and dean should have a copy of this payscale. If not, contact the Office of the Provost. Adjunct faculty members are paid twice a semester. For the fall semester, the pay dates are the last working days of October and December. For the spring semester, the pay dates will be the last working day of March and the Friday following graduation in May.
